On November 1, 1978, the remains of a teenage boy were discovered in a shallow grave on Medicine Mountain, South Dakota. The remote and rugged terrain of the mountain made the site difficult to access, and authorities were able to recover only limited evidence.

Despite efforts by law enforcement and forensic investigators, the boy's identity was never established, and the circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery. The case continues to be unsolved.
